A Note From Our Founder
Hi my name is James, the founder of The Local Solar Company. I started my journey back in 2010 in Sydney, Australia where I spent over a decade designing Solar & Battery Storage Systems. Having worked in a market that is much further ahead in renewable adoption, I’ve had the opportunity to see how these technologies perform at scale and over time. That experience has shaped how we approach our work — and highlighted an opportunity to do things a little better.
With rising energy costs, more people are understandably looking for ways to reduce their bills while also helping the environment — and solar is a proven way to do both. We believe solar should be accessible to everyone, and we’ve structured our business to support that. By leveraging our buying power, we’re able to pass savings on to our clients, ensuring systems remain cost-effective without compromising on quality or compliance.
